The Jefferson County Habitat for Humanity hosted their annual fashion show on Saturday showcasing the Fall Collection of 2014. Local volunteers donate many hours planning and producing the show. Ann Marie Potts served as the Mistress of Ceremony for this year’s event and Shelia Wiggins, Executive Director for Jefferson County Habitat for Humanity, offered the Welcome. Special Thanks were given to LaFleur’s Healing Arts, Fashion Show Coordinator Stacy Kirkpatrick, Graphic Designer Terry Lynn, Wardrobe Coordinators Jill Massey-Braun and Lorene Mills, Make-up Consultant and Hair Designer Debbie Stepp and Wardrobe Coordinator Betty Watkins.

Models for the event were Lisa Allen, Natalie Blackman, Taylor Butler, Grace Cates, Sarah Cates, Peggy Chandler, Matt Fowler, Paula Greer, Marilyn Gibson, Rebekah Gladden, Aaron Reed, Danette Seale and Betty Watkins. Also receiving recognition at the show were members of the Habitat Events Committee and the Habitat Board of Directors. Volunteer Party Rentals provided the tent, runway and staging for the show.

The annual fashion show is a free to the public event that highlights some of the items that are available for purchase at the Habitat’s ReStore. Proceeds from items purchased in the ReStore are used to build houses in Jefferson County. Store hours are Tuesday-Friday 9am-5pm and Saturday 9am-3pm. The ReStore has a wide variety of merchandise and, with the holiday season just around the corner, makes a gift purchased at the ReStore twice as nice.
