Jefferson County Rescue Squad 49th Annual Christmas Party & Awards Dinner

The Jefferson County Rescue Squad held their 49th Annual Christmas party on Monday, December 10th 2012. They gave annual awards at the event as well as Christmas gifts.

The board of directors was present to show their appreciation of the Rescue Squad’s hard work and dedication and three past captains were fortunate enough to make it to the dinner.

The squad has acquired a new boat this year, worked on their building, and is getting ready to start a few fundraisers to gain funds for the squad. The captain disclosed the year’s totals including 449 total calls- resulting in 4,152 man hours, 7,198 miles driven, stating “we’ve covered a lot of ground, done a lot of things.”

The squad recognizes three outstanding members each year. This year the award for Squadron of the year was awarded to Mr. J.B. Clevenger- he ran 49% of all calls, 37% of standbys. Squad Member to respond to the most calls Mike Romines. Adam Watson was awarded with second most calls. All members were given Christmas gifts which consisted of new rescue apparel, which everyone was delighted with and could not wait to wear!
