In the second game of a double header against Seymour, the Jefferson County Patriots hosted the Seymour Eagles at Patriot Field.  After loosing the first game of the series against the Eagles, the Patriots needed to put another game in the win column.

The Patriots scored first, in the bottom of the first, with a successful first at bat by Morgan Dalton, who was brought in by Trevor Whitley.

Jacob Rogers put the Patriots on the board once again in the bottom of the third.  Tapping a single to the left, followed up by a solid hit by Flynn Logan, Rogers was brought on home.

Seymour, who only brought one in all night, took until the top of the fifth to make that happen.

In the bottom of the sixth, the Patriots added 2 more runs to the lead, giving them a little more breathing room.  John Hensley and Tyler Shaver both introduced themselves to the home plate.

The Patriots sealed the deal in the top of the seventh, with three up, three down.  They defeated Seymour 4-1.

The big story for the evening was the solid pitching performance by Matt Bradley.  Bradley Pitched all seven innings and, with the backup of his fielders for the evening, would only allow the Eagles to score once, which was done on an error.  He would acquire 11 stikeouts for the night, throwing a total of 19 fastpitch strikes.

Jonathan Royster and Morgan Dalton both had pivotal RBIs for the evening.

The Patriots then traveled to Rutledge on Wednesday night to face off against Grainger County High School.  This time it was solid field play that had a chance to show off.

The Patriots saw one of their most solid at bats in a few games.  With a total of 8 hits and 6 RBI, Jefferson County played effectively on both sides Wednesday night.  In their 7-1 win, Morgan Dalton and John Hensley would both visit the home plate twice.

The Jefferson County Patriots are now gearing up to travel to Hardin Valley Academy on Friday night.  First Pitch is set for 6:00 p.m.
