Jefferson Middle School Honors and Graduation 2016

Jefferson Middle School held its eighth grade honors and graduation ceremonies for students on Monday. Students were presented in front of family and friends in a ceremonial walk across the gym and then seated for awards and honors. Various social and academic awards were presented in the ceremony, from anti-bullying to mathematics. Special students were also recognized for their improvement in their classes over the course of the school year from each section within the curriculum.

Awards were also giving for outstanding membership in the school’s clubs and after- school organizations, such as Beta Club and Choir. Jane Crosby, a long time teacher of JMS, was recognized for her service as her retirement was announced. Students were treated by the JMS choir and given inspirational words of advice from Principal Joel Sanford on the next exciting chapter of their lives. 210 students participated in the graduation and honors day ceremonies.
