Dandridge June Jubilee 2016 This Saturday, June 18th

Something exciting is coming to downtown Dandridge, as June Jubilee 2016 makes it way to town on Saturday June 18th. The event will kick off at 10 am and the action won’t stop until the final note is played around 8pm. Vendors will line Main Street in the historic town square offering a wide selection of food, artisan crafts and shopping opportunities for festival goers.

Great music, from gospel and bluegrass to pop, jazz, country and southern rock will keep the event stage hot. Beyond music, there are other entertainment opportunities that bring something for everyone. At 10:30am Ruff and Fluff will host a Dog Show that is sure to be a hit with the fur lovers. For some tumbling action, the highly awarded Jags Cheerleading Squad will be performing at 11:45. Those that like to find high fashion but don’t want to pay high prices will want to check out the Habitat for Humanity Fashion Show at 1:00 and stay around for special music from the Lighthouse Church.

This year, there is something new for the young and young at heart. Starting around noon, Mr. Bill’s Hoot and Holler will be on hand to provide magical entertainment, bubbles, balloon animals and old school games. Balloon twisting and all of Mr. Bill’s magical entertainment are free, thanks to our generous sponsors but Mr. Bill will be making his way back East at 4pm ( with any line for balloon twisting cutting off a little earlier to make sure that any kids waiting don’t go away empty handed) so be sure to check him out before then!

June Jubilee musical line up will start with Kaylee Kesterson, Marty Mills and Trevor Roberts at 10am. Local favorite Lost Creek Bank will take the stage around 11am, following the dog show. At 2:30 Tommy White will wow the crowd and Grits featuring Abby Helton bring their smooth, eclectic sound to the festival at 4pm. The heat will kick up at 6pm as Hillbilly Bonez comes to the historic town square as the finale’ for June Jubilee 2016.

The weather is expected to be great, the vendors are diverse, the food plentiful with everything from Armour’s BBQ to Sweet Smucker’s Doughnuts and every delicious bite in between. Come for a late breakfast and stay for dinner! June Jubilee 2016 is a wonderful way to spend the day and don’t forget to bring Dad out for a little pre Father’s Day fun.
