BILLY MACK LOVELACE

BILLY MACK LOVELACE, age 79, of Dandridge, TN passed away Sunday, January 13, 2013 at his home following a brief illness. He was preceded in death by father, Clarence Shirley Lovelace and mother, Anna Mae McGlothin Lovelace; brother, James Ray Lovelace; sister, Betty Anne Lee. He is survived by his wife, Christine Sams Lovelace; children, Anne Marie (Langdon) Potts II, Liz (R.B.) Summitt II; grandchildren, Langdon (Katy Judd) Potts III, Laura Potts, Shari, Nicole and Amber Adams and Tyler Summitt. He was a graduate of the University of Tennessee, Knoxville where he was a three year starter for the Volunteer basketball team (1951-1955). Founder and owner of Top Flite Oil Inc., a company that distributed petroleum products and operated convenience stores in Tennessee and Kentucky. Bill was a member of the U.S. Army Reserves with 15 years of service. He was a member of the First Baptist Church of Dandridge. Billy Mack was an amusing story-teller, an avid golfer and was known for his pancake breakfasts. In lieu of flowers, the family suggests that memorials be made to the First Baptist Church Building Fund, P.O. Box 246, Dandridge, TN 37725 or the French Broad Baptist Cemetery Fund, PO Box 1577, Dandridge, TN 37725. Funeral service will be Thursday January 17, 2013, 7:00pm at the First Baptist Church with Dr. Robert Brown and Dr. Robert McCray officiating. Interment graveside service Friday, 11:00am at the French Broad Baptist Church Cemetery, Dandridge, TN 37725.
