State Department Of Education Denies Waiver Of Illness Days – Students To Make Up Days
February 19 and 20th will now become regular school days for Jefferson County Schools. After closing on Thursday and Friday, due to illness, Jefferson County Schools has now missed a cumulative number of 12 days of school. As was previously advertised on our Public 2017-2018 Calendar, the first days to be used for make-up days was Winter Break. A request for a waiver of our illness days was submitted to the Commissioner of Education in Nashville, but that request was denied. This was announced to parents in a One Call message just now.
