Lodwick Disqualified From May 1st Republican Primary

Kenneth H. Lodwick, who had submitted paperwork to run for the office of Circuit Court Clerk, has officially been disqualified by the Tennessee Republican Party (TRP) from running as a Republican candidate in the May 1st primary. An official challenge of Mr. Lodwick’s status as not being a “bona fide Republican” was submitted in late-January to the TRP chairman.

The TRP rendered its ruling on February 21, 2018 as to Mr. Lodwick’s failure to meet the TRP’s threshold for qualifying as a “bona fide Republican” with the Administrator of Elections for the Jefferson County Election Commission being duly notified, prior to the February 22, 2018 withdrawal deadline.  Two candidates, Kevin C. Poe and Kimberly Marshall White, will now face one another in the May 1st Republican Primary for the office of Circuit Court Clerk of Jefferson County.
