JAMES WESLEY “BUD” BURNETT, age 91, of Jamestown, TN passed away Sunday, July 15, 2018 at Cookeville Regional Medical Center. He is preceded in death by his wife, Mary Nell Murray Burnett; father, Lloyd Thomas Burnett; mother, Rural Grace Roberts Burnett; son-in-law, Bob Johnston; sisters, Susie West and Lida Cornwell; brothers, Lloyd E. Burnett and Keith Burnett. He is survived by his three daughters, Jamie McGuire and husband Bill, Anne Johnston, Becky Atkinson and husband Don; six grandchildren, Sandi Clark Herndon and husband Mark, Jimi Joe Simpson, Andrea Clark Lockerby and husband Ted, Heather Johnston Carico and husband Kevin, Emily Atkinson Curtis and husband Matt, Tyler Atkinson and wife Tara; eight great-grandchildren, Lindsey and Madison Herndon, Joseph Simpson and wife Zoie, James Simpson and wife Tabby, Clark and Camden Lockerby, Anneston and Ally Carico; three great-great-grandchildren, Hunter Grace, Hoyt and Houston Simpson; brothers, Fred Burnett and Glenn Burnett. The family will receive friends from 4:00 until 7:00 p.m. Wednesday, July 18, 2018 at Jennings Funeral Homes Chapel in Jamestown. The family will also receive friends from 1:00 until 3:00 p.m. Thursday, July 19, 2018 (EST) at Farrar Funeral Home in Jefferson City, TN with a private graveside service in the Jarnigan Cemetery in Morristown, TN.
