Representative Faison Elected Co-Chairman Of The Tennessee Legislative Sportsmen’s Caucus

State Representative Jeremy Faison (R-Cosby) was elected by his peers to serve as co-chairman with State Senator Mike Bell (R-Riceville) of the Tennessee Legislative Sportsmen’s Caucus.

Founded in 2015, the bicameral Sportsmen’s Caucus works hand in hand with wildlife conservation organizations like the Tennessee Wildlife Resources Agency and the National Wild Turkey Federation to protect and advance the traditional right of Tennesseans to pursue outdoor activities, such as hunting, fishing, shooting, and trapping. The Sportsmen’s Caucus also studies surrounding states to incorporate best practices in order to support efforts to conserve and improve fish and wildlife habitats while also promoting the growth of outdoor industries.

“I’m honored and humbled that my colleagues elected me to co-chair this important caucus,” said Representative Faison. “As co-chairman, I am committed to preserving the heritage of our outdoor recreational activities, like hunting, fishing, shooting, and trapping in the great state of Tennessee. I look forward to working with my colleagues in the months ahead to ensure these traditions are protected and passed along to future generations in the Volunteer State.”

Faison represents Tennessee House District 11, which includes Cocke and part of Jefferson and Greene counties. He is a member of the Judiciary Committee, Naming, Designating, & Private Acts Committee, Local Committee, Children & Families Subcommittee, and the Property & Planning Subcommittee.
