Free Health Program for People with Diabetes

Diabetes Testing 01282013Beginning February 8, “Take Charge of Your Diabetes” will be offered FREE as a 6 session series. As a partnership between the UT Extension- Jefferson County and the Jefferson County Health Department, this program will offer tips and skills to help individuals manage problems common to diabetes as well as skills to work effectively with health care professionals. The program also helps individuals take day-to-day responsibility for the care of their diabetes. The information presented in the program is research-based and was developed by Stanford University. Anyone living with diabetes or family member, friend, or caregiver of an individual with diabetes can participate in this program. The program is being offered Fridays, February 8 to March 15 from 10:00 a.m. – 12:00 p.m., at the UT Extension-Jefferson County Office in Dandridge. Registration is required as class size is limited.
