New Jefferson County High School Principal Announced

Jefferson County Department of Education proudly announces Dr. Kevin Cline as the new principal of Jefferson County High School. The vacancy at Jefferson County High School is the result of the upcoming retirement of Dr. Scott Walker.

Jefferson County Schools received several applications, held initial interviews with four candidates, and then narrowed the field to two candidates before selecting Dr. Cline for the position. Dr. Cline has spent his entire career in the Jefferson County School system and earned his Doctorate in Education Degree from Carson Newman University.

Dr. Cline will officially begin his work at Jefferson County High School on July 1, 2020.

Dr. Cline is no stranger to Jefferson County High School where he served as an assistant principal prior to becoming the Principal at Jefferson Middle School in 2019. Dr. Cline has a vision for Jefferson County High School and clearly communicated both professional and content knowledge during the interview process. His passion and enthusiasm for this new role will be appreciated by the staff, students, and entire community.”
