Crafting a Native American Tradition
Dandridge Elementary School students had a hands on learning experience, thanks to creative Instructional Assistant Donna Wood. Mrs. Ann Fox’s third grade class got the opportunity to make their own corn husk dolls, under instruction from Mrs. Wood, who made the trip from Mount Horeb Elementary School to assist the class with their project. The doll making coincided with a unit on culture that the class has been studying and gave students the chance to have a unique leaning experience to enhance their classroom studies.
