Nominating Committee Continues To Seek Citizen Representation for Conservation Board

The meeting of the Jefferson County Nominating Committee was called to order on October 15, 2013 in the Jury Room of the Historic Courthouse located in Dandridge, TN. Present were Committee Members Solomon, Estes, Turner, Sheets, Patterson, Scarlett, Musick and Chairman Tucker. The current agenda without corrections was approved as prepared. Approval of minutes dating September 9, 2013 were also approved. No citizens were present for comments.

Items appearing on the agenda for action were Conservation Board Nominations. No interest to serve on the Conservation Board from the public had been received. Commissioner Patterson agreed to serve from the population of the County Commission. The Committee agreed to refer the recommendations to the County Commission at the next voting meeting with the request that any further nominations originate from the floor. After a proper motion from Committee member Solomon and 2nd Estes, the vote was unanimous.

No other action being considered, the Committee was adjourned.
