Holiday Dessert Contest and Recipe Swap Held at Jefferson City Library

Jefferson City Public Library held its first Holiday dessert and recipe swap Friday December 13. Everyone was invited to bring in a dessert and copies of their recipe. Even if you couldn’t cook you were still invited to come out and sample the desserts that were brought in. Patrons judged their favorite dessert by looks and taste. Judith Denick won the best dessert. She received a gift basket filled with many different baking items. This was the first recipe and dessert swap the library held. Barbara Shelton and Donna Phillips, director and assistant director, hope to hold many more of these in the near future.
