Friday evening, February 7, 2014, marked the 32nd annual banquet for the Jefferson County Chamber of Commerce. The event was well attended, with members, local dignitaries and guests filling the Stokely Memorial Cafeteria at Carson Newman University. The cast of the Jefferson County High School Senior Play provided entertainment for the evening, performing scenes from this year’s upcoming Beauty and the Beast. Miss Farrah Hodge led the Pledge and Mr. Matt Oaks gave vocals to the National Anthem. Walter Gibson served as MC for the evening and Chamber President Don Cason, 2013 Chairman Daryle Keck and 2014 Chairman Tommy Bible gave addresses. Outgoing Chamber Board Members were recognized and the 2014 Chamber Executive Committee and Board of Directors were installed. Serving on the 2014 Executive Committee are Chairman Tommy Bible, Vice Chairman Kina Mallard, Vice-Chairman, Overman Trevor Hodgson and Secretary/Treasurer Carol Wolfenbarger. 2014 Chamber Board Members are Chad Ballinger, Amy Cate, Dale Gentry, Lynn Hixson, Trevor Hodgson, Bob Jarnagin, Jeremy Lawson, Scott Shafer, Alyson Susong, Gail West, Carol Wolfenbarger and John Zirkle.

Winning the Pinnacle Award for Business and Industry was Matsuo Industries USA. Owners of the Quality Inn of Dandridge, John and Dorothy Solarz, were awarded the Pinnacle Award for Tourism. The Chairman’s Volunteer Award went to Jim Wilson and First Tennessee Bank presented to local First Responders the award of Jefferson Countian of the Year, for their dedication and service to the community, with special recognition of their heroic response during the recent I-40 tragic bus crash.

The Jefferson County Chamber of Commerce staff includes-Don Cason, President and CEO-Garrett Wagley, Economic Development Director-Adele Sensing, Tourism Director-Kaci Anderson, Community Development and Membership Coordinator-Donna Yates, Office Manager and Shasta Hill, Guest Relations Coordinator.
