Belcher Honored by National Football Foundation

Bart Belcher was given the George L Hunter Distinguished Community Service Award for his service to Jefferson County High School Football, as well as many years spent volunteering for the Dandridge Broncos. The award is handed out by the East Tennessee Chapter of the National Football Foundation and College Football Hall of Fame.

It’s not just the NFF that thinks very highly of Belcher, current JCHS Head Coach Kenny Cobble says he is worth every award he gains. “Bart is definitely a blessing to our program, he gives unselfishly of himself. He doesn’t have a kid in our program, he didn’t graduate from this high school, yet he is a man that pours his heart in to this community and our football program.” The affects of Belcher doesn’t stop with Cobble, “It is such a great example for our kids, and really all of us to see someone who is so unconditionally giving.”
