RICHARD (RICK) LEE THOMAS, age 46, of Jefferson City, TN went to be with our Lord on Wednesday, November 12, 2014 after a long battle of cancer. He was a member of Blue Springs Baptist Church. He was preceded in death by infant sisters, Sherry Lynn and Kimberly Elizabeth. He is survived by his wife, Leslie Samsel Thomas; sons, Damon Thomas and girlfriend, Alicia Anderson, and Brody Thomas; father, Randle Thomas; mother, Patricia Reece; brother, Jason Thomas; father-in-law and mother-in-law, Garry and Brenda Samsel; sister-in-law, Jennifer Holt; nephews, Tanner Rich and Tucker Holt; several aunts, uncles and cousins. Memorial funeral service will be held at 6:00 p.m. Saturday, November 15, 2014 at Blue Springs Baptist Church with Rev. Will McReynolds officiating. Family will receive friends immediately following the service. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to American Cancer Society, or Blue Springs Baptist Church Building Fund, 956 Highway 92, Rutledge, TN 37861.
