Local churches and community volunteers came together Saturday at Cherokee Dam to celebrate the Access Life Expo. The Access Life ministry was founded by Doug and Leanne Goddard in 2010 after they saw a need to reach out to those living with disabilities. With the help of local churches, the two have been able to spread their message throughout the community and across the country.

The free 3 to 4 hour event featured activities and games that allowed a sense of freedom those living with disabilities may not always see. Volunteers and community leaders provided food, and TWRA was on hand to help with the event. Access Life also focuses on the needs of other demographics: all of their events offer participants the opportunity to donate medical supplies to those in Belize who may lack proper care. Access Life organizers wanted to thank the volunteers and the community for their time and continued support in this event.
