ALL ABOARD! YOUNG & OLD ARE INVITED TO THE TRAIN SHOW

Bulls Gap Railroad Museum Invites Everyone to Train Show, April 12, 13

The 2nd Annual Bulls Gap Train Show will be held April 12 & 13 at the Bulls Gap Community Center (134 S Main St, Bulls Gap TN). Last year, the show was a success with more than 20 vendors and over 150 people to enjoy the activities. Sponsored by the Bulls Gap Railroad Museum (BGRM), president Bill Haskins expects this year to be even better.

Attendees can explore the Railroad Museum for free; watch the “big” trains pass by nearly 10 times each day; eat hot dogs, hamburgers or homemade chili; and buy, sell or trade model trains and accessories.

Admission is $5 for adults, children under 12 are free. The event will be open on Friday, April 12 from 10am 7 pm, and on Saturday, April 13 from 9am-5pm.

Vendor tables are available for $10 with setup on Thursday, April 11.

Bulls Gap has a rich history of being a “railroad town,” with the first rail line build in 1858. During the Civil War about 13 skirmishes took place in or near the area because the railroad meant food, supplies, ammunition for whoever controlled the line. The Bulls Gap Railroad Museum displays the history of the railroad through railroad equipment, tools, clothing, pictures and running model trains. More than a 1,000 visitors came to the museum last year.
