“Every year Jefferson Memorial celebrates physicians in our community in recognition of Doctor’s Day,” said JMH CEO Ben Ridder. “In honor of our physicians, the hospital is saying thank you by donating to the Nursing Program at Carson-Newman University. The medical staff and Jefferson Memorial Hospital value the role C-N plays in the community in preparing healthcare providers for the future. We want to support the greater community, which is exactly what our doctors do every day.”

Carson-Newman President Charles A. Fowler said the gift is impactful to the University’s program and its students.

“We are so thankful to our friends at Jefferson Memorial Hospital for this gift,” said Fowler. “It is invaluable to our nursing program. Having the support of our local medical community in so valuable and it enriches our students’ experience. This gift for scholarships helps our students pursue God’s calling as they prepare to be servant-leaders in the healthcare field.”
