Shady Grove Boat Launch to Close Temporarily for Douglas Lake Cleanup Work
Due to interagency efforts to remove disaster-related debris from Douglas Lake, Shady Grove Boat Launch in Dandridge, Tennessee, will be temporarily closed to the public so the area can serve as a staging ground for cleanup work. The gate to the launch area will be closed starting Monday, Nov. 18, through the end of the calendar year.
Earlier this month, the state of Tennessee assigned TVA to coordinate debris removal and disposal efforts on Douglas Lake in collaboration with other local, state and federal agencies.
