Parrott-Wood Memorial Library (3133 W. Old A.J. Hwy., Strawberry Plains, TN 37871) announces Free Basic Technology Training. Rita Hussung will be teaching a wide variety of classes on Wednesdays from 1:30 pm-3:30 pm. These classes were made possible through the Tennessee State Library and Archives office when Parrott-Wood was awarded The Training Opportunities for the Public (TOP) Grant of $7133.00. Space is limited and registration is required. To register call the library at 865-933-1311.

4/9/2025 Learning Online: Learn about free resources available on the Tennessee Electronic Library. Find out how to download books to read, where to find helpful tutorials and more.

4/16/2025 Part 1: Microsoft Word – Learn how to set up a free Microsoft Account. We will learn about the Ribbon, how to create a document, edit mistakes and save the final product.

4/23/2025 Part 2: Microsoft Word -Learn how to Create documents and add special features like borders, pictures, tables and more.

4/30/2025 Part 1: Microsoft Excel – Getting Started. Learn how to organize information.

5/7/2025 Part 2: Microsoft Excel – Continued. Create labels, a mailing list or a budget all in Microsoft Excel. We will learn how to create simple formulas and charts.

5/14/2025 Microsoft Powerpoint: Learn how to create a slideshow Presentations including photos, animations and more!
