Katy serves on the Jefferson Memorial Hospital Tennova Board of Directors. In addition, she serves on the following Jefferson County Commission Committees: Finance, Facilities, Public Service, Public Records, Audit and Budget. “Jefferson County has experienced rapid growth in recent years due to its natural beauty, friendliness and conservative values of citizens and lower cost of living compared to other areas. Our community continues to be a blended mix of local multigenerational families, retirees and others moving here in hopes of a better/healthier life. Our foundation was built on religion, agriculture, education and commitment to providing a better lifestyle. Maintaining and preserving the foundational roots and integrity as well as the natural beauty and small-town feel of our great county is critical to me. Through strategic planning, updating our Land Use Plan and Zoning documents and focusing on infrastructure and public services, I believe we can better achieve responsible controlled growth. I want our citizens and future generations to be able to afford to live, work and play in Jefferson County.”

“I support our local police, roads, landfill, Emergency Medical Services, public service workers and school personnel. They are critical to the success of Jefferson County. I will continue to be fiscally responsible, proactive with maintenance and county department needs, focused on economic development/job creation, and supportive of our county workforce.”

Katy is rooted and grounded in faith, family and community. She is conservative, ethical, responsible and uses common sense when making decisions. “It has been a blessing being on County Commission. I would proudly continue to serve the citizens of District 1 if given the opportunity. I am asking for your vote and support in the Republican Primary on May 5th. Early voting begins April 15th.”
