DOUGLAS-CHEROKEE ECONOMIC AUTHORITY currently has funding for assistance with your home heating and cooling costs. If you have not applied for LIHEAP through the online portal since November of 2025, please do so now.

LIHEAP is income based. You can find the Tennessee statewide income eligibility scale at DCEA-LIHEAP.org.

If your household is within the income limits, please go to https://THDA.SmartSimple.us to apply.

All Tennessee residents can apply through the same portal. Knox County residents will choose Knoxville-Knox County CAC as their LIHEAP agency and may call 865.546.3500 for assistance or more information.
