No Quorum For Second Attempt At Nominating Committee Meeting Monday

The Jefferson County Nominating Committee made the second attempt to meet this month on April 8, 2013. Of the ten County Commissioners that sit on the Committee, only five showed for the Monday morning meeting, which is one member short of a quorum. Absent from the meeting were Committee Members Sheets, Patterson, Musick, Solomon and Turner. Agenda items that were to be addressed included 4 open seats on the Industrial Development Board, AG Committee nominations and Library Board Nominations. There has been considerable interest in the open seats on the Industrial Development Board and citizen applications have been submitted for consideration in placing those seats. Current Committee Members that have seats up for appointment will continue to serve until it is established who will be appointed to vacant seats.
