INVITATION TO BID

The Jefferson County Purchasing Department will be accepting sealed bids for a Rubber Tire Wheel Loader that meets the below specifications:

145-170 HP Tier 4 Interim Engine
Piston Displacement Minimum 400
Operating Weight above 28,000 lbs
Hydraulics: Variable Displacement (Gear Pump Not Acceptable)
Minimum Hydraulic Tilting Relief: 4,000 PSI
Bucket Breakout Force – above 22,000
Differential Lock – (Limited Slip Not Acceptable)
Z-Bar Link on Bucket Tilt
Two 1,000 CCA Batteries and 115 Amp Heavy Duty Alternator
Work Lights – 4 Front and 2 Rear
Tires (17.5 25 or 20.5 25)
Hinge Pin Height 12’6” minimum
Cab with Air and Heat
Rear View Camera
Quick Steer Option to be Included for Reduced Turning Requirements
Steering angle: 40 Degrees
Boom Suspension System (Ride Control)
Bucket Minimum 2.9 CYD with Bolt on Cutting Edge
Wheel Base: 9’7” or wider for stability
Standard SAE Fittings (British fittings not acceptable)
Automatic Boom Kick-Out that can be switched on and off and is adjustable to any position between maximum reach and full lifting height.
12-Month Manufacturer Warranty.  Repairs to be conducted at Jefferson County Location without cost for first six months.
Recommend Dealer be located in Knoxville Area with Sales Support to include full service shop and parts availability.
No Gray Market Machines.
Must include delivery.
Jefferson County Highway Department reserves the right to accept or reject any or all bids.
*Machines not meeting above specifications will not be considered.

Sealed bids should be mailed to the Jefferson County Finance Department to the attention of Teresa Crusenberry, P.O. Box 1749, Dandridge, TN 37725. Bids will be accepted until 2:30pm,  May 16, 2013, at which time bids will be opened in the Finance Department Conference Room.

The Finance Director reserves the right to accept or reject any or all bids and to waive any and all irregularities in the receipt/handling and acceptance of bids.
