Governor’s Highway Safety Office Awards Dandridge Police Department $31K

The Tennessee Governor’s Highway Safety Office recently awarded the Dandridge Police Department $31,413.00 for alcohol enforcement, announces Chief Carson Williams. In previous years, GHSO awarded Dandridge Police Department $5,000 for high visibility traffic enforcement efforts. This fiscal year, the DPD was awarded over $31,000 to combat impaired driving. $144,797.95 Stolen from Jefferson County Taxpayers

A special report from the Tennessee Comptroller of the Treasury reveals that $144,797.95 was stolen from Jefferson County by a former employee of the Finance Office.
